Ukrainian Premier-Designate Says Cabinet Chosen

2 February 2005 -- Ukrainian Prime Minister-designate Yuliya Tymoshenko has said she has already selected her cabinet.

Tymoshenko, in an interview in "Ukrayinska pravda" yesterday, did not reveal the cabinet's makeup. But she said that no members of the former Ukrainian government nor members of the previous regional administration will be in the new lineup.

Tymoshenko said all the provincial governors had also been selected, pending approval by newly elected President Viktor Yushchenko.

Parliament will discuss Tymoshenko's nomination as prime minister on 3 February and is widely expected to approve it.

Tymoshenko's announcement came after a day of talks with parliamentary party leaders.
