Saddam Tribunal Judge Reported Killed

2 March 2005 -- Iraqi police officials have said that gunmen have killed a judge who was believed to have been working with the special tribunal that is planned to put former President Saddam Hussein and members of his former regime on trial.

Reports say the judge, Barawiz Mahmoud, and a relative were gunned down yesterday in Baghdad.

No comment on the reported killing from Iraqi government officials or the special tribunal was immediately available.
