President Khatami (file photo) 8 March 2005 -- Iranian President Mohammad Khatami arrived in Bosnia-Herzegovina today on a two-day official visit.

Khatami met with members of Bosnia's tripartite presidency and said the two nations should expand economic cooperation.

Iranian and Bosnian representatives signed several bilateral agreements aimed at boosting cooperation in customs, security, sports, and television broadcasts.

Khatami is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Adnan Tersic and Foreign Minister Mladen Ivanic. He will also meet Bosnian Muslim leaders as well as representatives of Bosnia's other religious communities.

In Zagreb yesterday, Khatami met with Stipe Mesic, the president of neighboring Croatia. Accords on economic, scientific, and cultural cooperation were signed during Khatami's two-day visit to Croatia.
