Bosnian Serb To Surrender To UN War Crimes Court


10 March 2005 -- Serbia's government today said that former Bosnian Serb Interior Minister Mica Stanisic has decided to surrender to the UN war crimes tribunal at The Hague.

Stanisic faces war crimes charges. The indictment against him has not been made public. Details of the charges are not yet available.

Stanisic served as interior minister in the breakaway Republika Srpska during the 1992-95 Bosnian war.

He is expected to surrender himself to the UN war crimes tribunal tomorrow.
