Two U.S. Servicemen Killed In Iraq


3 April 2005 -- The U.S. military says two American service members were killed in central Iraq.

The military said a soldier was killed today when a bomb exploded near the town of Baiji.

It said that a Marine was killed on yesterday by an explosion while conducting combat operations in the city of Hadithah, 220 kilometers northwest of Baghdad.

More than 1,500 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003.
