Bakiev said that today's protests were financed from Kazakhstan by persons close to Akaev. He said authorities are ready to use force to maintain law and order.
Bishkek, 17 June 2005 (RFE/RL) -- Kyrgyz acting President Kurmanbek Bakiev is blaming today's clashes between police and protesters on ousted President Askar Akaev and his supporters, RFE/RL's Kyrgyz Service reported.
RFE/RL has been declared an "undesirable organization" by the Russian government.
