Russia To Protest Attack On Diplomats' Children

1 August 2005 (RFE/RL) -- The Russian Embassy in Warsaw is due to submit a note of protest to Polish officials today over the beating of three children of Russian diplomats.

ITAR-TASS says the three, along with a Kazakh friend, were beaten by a group of skinheads in a Warsaw park on 31 July. The RIA Novosti news agency says the skinheads yelled "anti-Russian" abuse at the Russians, who were also robbed of their money and mobile phones.

Polish police are investigating.
