Iran's Bushehr nuclear plant
14 August 2005 -- Tehran today warned U.S. President George W. Bush that he would be making a mistake to use force against the Islamic republic.
Bush said Friday that he would not rule out military strikes if Iran did not comply with international demands over
suspending its nuclear activities.
Speaking to reporters today, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi said such threats "are more a
psychological war and not feasible in practice."
Iran has said its atomic program is only for peaceful use. The West has expressed fears that the process could also
be used to make atomic bombs.
