Six Suspected Taliban Killed In Central Afghanistan

16 August 2005 -- Afghan and U.S. forces killed six suspected Taliban fighters after militants fired at a forward operating base in Afghanistan's Uruzgan Province.

The U.S. military said today in a statement issued in the Afghan capital Kabul the incident took place near the Deh Rahwod district of Uruzgan on 14 August.

The statement said there were no Afghan or U.S. forces injured in the incident.
