Yushchenko Appoints New Chief Of Staff

7 September 2005 -- Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko today appointed his new chief of staff, Oleg Rybachuk.

Rybachuk previously served as deputy prime minister.

Yushchenko's previous chief of staff, Olexander Zinchenko, resigned on 3 September, later saying he quit because of high-level corruption in the government.

Zinchenko's accusations sent Yushchenko into crisis management talks yesterday with top government officials.
