Hague Court Closes Milosevic Trial


Former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic (epa) March 14, 2006 -- The UN war crimes court at The Hague today formally closed the trial of Slobodan Milosevic.


The UN tribunal said it regrets Milosevic's death.


Milosevic was defending himself against more than 60 charges of war crimes committed during the Balkan wars of the 1990s.


Milosevic never recognized the authority of the court.
