Iraq Bomb Blast Kills At Least 30

(RFE/RL) March 27, 2006 -- Iraqi police say at least 30 people have been killed in a bomb blast inside a joint U.S.-Iraq base in the northern city of Mosul.

Interior Ministry sources say the explosion targeted Iraqi Army recruits and may have been carried out by a suicide bomber strapped with explosives. But that has yet to be confirmed.

No further details are available.
