Four Chinese Beaten Up In Central Russian City


(RFE/RL) April 22, 2006 -- A group of attackers severely beat up four Chinese students in Russia's central city of Kostroma.


Police have detained three suspects over the attack on April 21.


Russian media report the suspects have been charged with involvement in a racially motivated attack. According to the reports, one of the detainees is also suspected of beating up a female student from Azerbaijan earlier this week.
