At Least 50 Kidnapped In Baghdad


Aftermath of a May 29 explosion in the central Iraqi city of Ba'quabah (epa) June 5, 2006 -- Western news agencies are quoting Iraqi security officials as saying gunmen kidnapped at least 50 people in Baghdad today.


Associated Press quotes an Interior Ministry official, Lieutenant Colonel Falah al-Mohamedawi, as saying the gunmen abducted drivers and passengers from a pickup point on international bus routes.


No other details were immediately available.
