Iran Criticizes Bush For 'Islamic Fascists' Remarks


Hamid-Reza Assefi, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman (file photo) (epa) August 13, 2006 -- Iran today denounced the remarks of U.S. President George W. Bush on "Islamic fascists" in the wake of the terror attacks allegedly foiled in London.


Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hamid-Reza Assefi said in a news conference in Tehran that Bush's comments were insulting and inappropriate.


He said the president should apologize to the Islamic world.
