At Least 27 Killed In Road Accident In Iran

(RFE/RL) September 3, 2006 -- Reports say a road accident in central Iran today killed at least 27 people and injured five.

The ISNA news agency says a truck and a bus carrying 32 passengers collided in Isfahan Province. An investigation is underway.

Iranian roads are among the most dangerous in the world with some 100,000 killed over the past five years.
