Iraqi Journalist Killed In Mosul

(RFE/RL) January 13, 2007 -- Police say gunmen killed an Iraqi journalist outside his home in the northern city of Mosul.

Khudhir Yunis, a freelance journalist working for a number of Baghdad-based newspapers, was shot dead overnight.

Reporters Without Borders has said that more than 130 journalists and media assistants have been killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003.
