(RFE/RL) June 8, 2007 -- A major economic forum opens today in St. Petersburg, bringing together politicians, officials, and top managers of Russian and foreign companies.
Approximately 10,000 participants and guests are scheduled to attend the St. Petersburg Economic Forum from June 8-10.
On the sidelines of the forum, 100 foreign CEOs have been invited to a private meeting with President Vladimir Putin, who is due to fly to St. Petersburg directly from the Group of Eight (G8) summit in Germany.
