Moscow, April 3 (RFE/RL) -- Russian Federal security service director, General Mikhail Barsukov, left Moscow today to attend the CIS law enforcement agencies meeting in Dushanbe.
Our correspondent quotes Russian government officials as saying the meeting will focus on issues of drug proliferation and joint measures against terrorism and illegal arms trade.
A spokesman for the Tajik foreign ministry (Hakdot Samiev) told our correspondent by phone from Dushanbe that Barsukov met Tajik president Emomali Rakhmonov today.
The spokesman did not give details of that meeting.
