Moscow, May 15 (RFE/RL) -- A scheduled meeting between Russian President Boris Yeltsin and fellow presidential candidate Svatoslav Fedorov is still uncertain.
Our correspondent quotes Yeltsin's press-service as saying that the meeting is not on today's agenda.
Yeltsin was expected to meet with Fedorov, an eye surgeon, to negotiate a possible anti-communist alliance. Earlier, two presidential candidates, Grigory Yavlinsky and Alexander Lebed, rejected the possibility of such a union with Yeltsin. But our correspondent quotes reports from their campaign headquarters as saying that Yavlinsky and Lebed have been continuing to discuss a possible alliance with Yeltsin.
