Moscow, August 5 (RFE/RL) -- Russia's Central Bank today took temporary control of another financially troubled commercial bank, the Kommercheski Narodny Bank, reports Itar-Tass.
Central Bank officials are quoted as saying the bank got into trouble after its leadership started carrying out risky business deals.
Two weeks ago the central bank revoked the license of a leading Russian commercial bank, Tveruniversalbank.
Today's Central Bank decision increases to 145 the number of Russian commercial banks that had their licenses withdrawn in the first half of this year.
