Warsaw, 29 August 1996 (RFE/RL) -- The defense ministers of Poland, Ukraine, and Britain are due to meet in Poland next month during joint Polish-British military exercises.
Defense Ministers Stanislaw Dobrzanski of Poland, Oleksandr Kuzmuk of Ukraine, and Michael Portillo of Britain will meet September 3 at a training ground in northwestern Poland.
The RFE/RL Warsaw correspondent reports that some 3,500 British soldiers will participate in the joint exercises. The event is a British-organized event and not related to NATO's Partnership for Peace program.
