Almaty, 11 September 1996 (RFE/RL) -- A U.S.-Kazakhstan convention on providing secret data on banking and tax matters is scheduled to be officially signed today in Almaty, the Kazakh capital, reports RFE/RL's Kazakh Service.
The convention is designed to help track international criminals. Washington has signed several such agreements with other former Soviet republics.
