Washington, 23 September 1996 (RFE/RL) -- The World Bank has approved a loan of $2.6 million to Ukraine to finance installation of an automated data processing system for the country's Housing and Municipal Service Allowance Program.
The service renders aid to low-income families for housing and heat. It also works to improve water and sewer service.
The loan will also support the installation of a management information system and technical training as part of the program to rationize public expenditures and improve efficiency of public services such as water and heating.
