Russia: Yeltsin Names New Ambassadors




Warsaw, Moscow; 4 November 1996 (RFE/RL) -- Russian President Boris Yeltsin has signed decrees naming several new ambassadors.

Named the new ambassador to Warsaw is Leonid Drachevsky. Our Warsaw correspondent cites reports that note Drachevsky previously headed the CIS-integration department in Russia's Foreign Ministry.

The decree also names Leonid Kerestedzhiyants to the ambassador's post in Sofia, while Ivan Oboimov will serve as ambassador to Helsinki. And Konstantin Mozel has been named as the new ambassador to Vilnius.
