Warsaw, 2 December 1996 (RFE/RL) - The issue of stolen cars and vehicle theft prevention are being debated today at the start of a two-day conference in Warsaw.
Delegations from Europe and North America are expected to attend the conference organized under the auspices of the United Nations. International experts from about 40 countries are due at the meeting.
Participants from national police organizations, insurance experts, detective agencies and other experts are due to recommend steps governments can take to eliminate illegal trafficking in stolen cars.
