Warsaw, 14 February 1997 (RFE/RL) - Poland and Lithuania have signed an agreement on exchange of confidential military information. The agreement will enable Lithuania to purchase advanced military technology and equipment from Poland.
The agreement was signed at a meeting today near the the border in Alytus, Lithuania, as part of talks held there between Poland's Prime Minister Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz and Lithuania's Prime Minister Gediminas Vagnorius. Our Warsaw correspondent reports talks focused on European security and NATO enlargement.
