Ankara, 5 March 1997 (RFE/RL) - Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Akejan Kajigeldin has met in Ankara with Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan for talks that focused mostly on trade.
Turkish reports say Kajigeldin noted that Turkey is Kazakhstan's third-largest trade partner after Russia and Ukraine. The two prime ministers also were reported to have discussed petroleum supplies, and pumping Kazakhstan petroleum products to Europe through Turkey.
