Washington, 29 August 1997 (RFE/RL) - The U.S. says leaders of groups in Bosnia who are involved in violent clashes with NATO led soldiers will be held responsible for keeping their people under control.
White House spokesman Joseph Lockhart said that is a serious message that he said should be heeded by all parties.
Lockhart said incitement to violence against NATO's Stabilization Force troops will not be tolerated, but he declined to discuss specific consequences.
