Warsaw, 14 November 1997 (RFE/RL)- European Parliament vice president Magdalene Hoff yesterday says Poland's new government is ready to start accession negotiations with the EU next year.
Hoff, who visited Poland for two days, said yesterday that the date of Poland's access to the EU will depend on the pace of Polish reforms as well as on the reforms within the community.
Also yesterday, Poland's Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek said that Poland must negotiate favorable terms for EU entry.
