Pristina, 3 August (RFE/RL) - Two Serbs were killed overnight in
Pristina, the provincial capital, in separate murders thought to have been carried out by ethnic Albanians. The NATO-led Kosovo peacekeeping
force (KFOR) said today in a statement that peacekeeping troops patrolling the city have started an investigation. The incidents came after the New York-based humanitarian organization, Human Rights Watch, said that Serbs and Roma are facing violence in Kosovo, where they are targets of harassment, beatings, murder, and abduction. The group said ethnic Albanians are seeking revenge for what had been done to them by the Serbs.
