World: IMF Forecasts For Nations In Transition




Washington, 23 September 1999 (RFE/RL) -- The International Monetary Fund's annual World Economic Outlook report released Wednesday in Washington, contained the following forecasts for economic growth in 1999 and 2000 for each of the countries in transition. *The IMF staff was queried on the Turkmenistan figures, which seem out of line with the rest of the region, but there was no immediate explanation.
