Washington, 28 September 1999 (RFE/RL) -- Following are the Central/East European country breakdowns for 1998 listed by the United Nationsl Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in it's 1999 World Investment Report issued Monday:

Albania ------ $ 45 million Belarus ------ 144 million Bosnia -------- 10 million Bulgaria ------ 401 million Croatia ------- 873 million Czech Republic - 2.54 billion Estonia ------ 581 million Hungary ------ 1.935 billion Latvia -------- 274 million Lithuania ------ 926 million Macedonia ----- 119 million Moldova ------ 85 million Poland ------ 5.129 billion Romania ------ 2.063 billion Russia -------- 2.183 billion Slovakia ------- 466 million Slovenia ------- 165 million Ukraine ------- 743 million

In Central Asia, the UNCTAD report listed the following country figures: Armenia ------- $ 232 million Azerbaijan ----- 1.085 billion Georgia -------- 251 million Kazakhstan ----- 1.158 billion Kyrgystan ------ 102 million Tajikistan ------ 30 million Turkmenistan --- 80 million Uzbekistan ----- 85 million
