Yugoslavia: Clash Near Kosovo Kills 3 Serbian Police

Belgrade, 22 November 2000 (RFE/RL) - Beta news agency says today that three Serbian policemen died yesterday during a clash with a group of Albanians in southern Serbia near the Kosovo province. Beta said the men's bodies were found near the village of Konculj after police clashed with members of the Liberation Army for Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac.

The group, named after three municipalities in the region with ethnic Albanian majorities, has been linked over the past year with reported police confrontations.
