Baghdad, 14 September 2003 (RFE/RL) -- A U.S. soldier was killed and three more were wounded today when their convoy ran over a bomb planted on a road in the Iraqi town of Al-Fallujah. A spokesman for the U.S.-led military force in Iraq said that this morning in Al-Fallujah, a vehicle convoy hit an improvised explosive device and that one soldier was killed in the attack.
Earlier today, the U.S. military in Iraq says three U.S. soldiers have been wounded in a rocket-propelled-grenade attack in the northern city of Mosul.
Officials said the attack on the soldiers occurred last evening.
