Russia: Train Explosion Kills At Least 32

Moscow, 5 December 2003 (RFE/RL) -- A bomb planted on a train in southern Russia killed at least 32 people and injured more than 100 today. General Nikolai Lityuk of the Emergency Situations Ministry said authorities are investigating the possibility that the attack was made by a suicide bomber.

He said the train was traveling between the cities of Kislovodsk and Mineralnye Vody, near war-torn Chechnya. Lityuk said the bomb exploded in the second car of the train. Several people were killed on the same train line in September after two explosions.
