Nazarbayev attends high court session
President Nursultan Nazarbayev attended a session of the Kazakh High Court yesterday.
Five members of the High Court were dismissed recently, and the main topic of the session was about replacements.
During the session President Nazarbayev introduced a new chairman of the High Court Council Dr. Yuri Rogov. According to the Constitution of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Court Council should be appointed by President.
All new members of the Kazakh High Court will pass through Parliament approval.
Head of passport department holds conference
Head of Passport Department of Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs Colonel Omirbay Musayev held press conference. It was announced that 11 million new Kazakh passport distributed among Kazakh citizens since this document introduced in 1995.
Beginning March 1, an old Soviet time passport is not valid for Kazakh citizens - said colonel Musayev during press conference.
Agreement signed with Egypt
Kazakh delegation lead by Astana City Mayor Adilbek Zhaqsibayev returned from Cairo, Egypt. An agreement between two Capitals was signed during the visit. Mayor of Astana Adilbek Zhaqsibekov and Mayor of Cairo Dr. Abdurakhim Shihata introduced a new investment project.
Air Kazakhstan
"Air Kazakhstan" national company to buy "second hand" planes from Boeing. According to press service of the company all planes were exploited 5-6 years. "Air Kazakhstan" has no any new plane.
