Four Killed In Daghestan Suicide Bomb

Officials in the Russian North Caucasus republic of Daghestan say at least four police officers are dead and six others are injured after an attack by a suicide bomber.

Officials say the bomber detonated his explosives after his vehicle was stopped at a police checkpoint early on February 14 on the outskirts of the city of Khasavyurt.

Reports say one police officer was missing after the attack.

It was not immediately clear who was responsible.

Daghestan is one of the most violent regions in Russia’s majority-Muslim North Caucasus, with Islamic insurgents regularly attacking officials, police, and military personnel.
