Czech Cartoon Prompts Firings In Iran


An Iranian state-run television, Channel 2, has fired a producer, a broadcast supervisor, and a "scene manager" over the airing of an episode of the cult Czech cartoon, Pat & Mat.

In the offending episode, the main characters brew homemade wine before drinking it and falling unconscious.
