Forget Grand Theft Auto, Play The EU's Security Policy Game

You can imagine the creative meeting on this one.

"But how do we make our security policy cool? We need to get the kids interested. What do kids like these days? Rap? Twilight?"

Yes, the Dutch Foreign Ministry has launched a video game to promote the EU's Security and Defense Policy and “reach people who don’t read books or articles about the subject but who may be tempted to learn something about the subject through playing a game.”

NeoConOpticon has more. And you can play the game here (in Dutch).

About This Blog

Written by RFE/RL editors and correspondents, Transmission serves up news, comment, and the odd silly dictator story. While our primary concern is with foreign policy, Transmission is also a place for the ideas -- some serious, some irreverent -- that bubble up from our bureaus. The name recognizes RFE/RL's role as a surrogate broadcaster to places without free media. You can write us at transmission+rferl.org
