Kyrgyz Authorities Deport Dozens Of Chinese Nationals

NARYN, Kyrgyzstan -- Sixty Chinese labor migrants have been deported from Kyrgyzstan's Naryn National Park, where they were reportedly working on a public road project, RFE/RL's Kyrgyz Service reports.

Park director Damin Omorov told RFE/RL that the workers were part of a team building a road near the villages of Kashka-Suu and Kormontu with the aid of explosives and heavy equipment.

Kyrgyzstan's migration authorities found that the workers did not have the proper work permits or were on Kyrgyz territory illegally.

RFE/RL has been declared an "undesirable organization" by the Russian government.
