MECCA, Saudi Arabia -- A young girl from Kyrgyzstan died in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, during the hajj today.
Mambetasan-Hadji Ibraev, the chief of the Kyrgyz group of hajj pilgrims in Mecca, told RFE/RL's Kyrgyz Service that the girl was making the holy pilgrimage together with her parents.
Neither the girl's age nor details of her death were given.
The parents of the deceased girl have agreed to bury her in Mecca.
She is reportedly the fifth Kyrgyz citizen to be buried in Mecca after having died during the hajj.
