Blasts Kill At Least 36 In Baghdad

Updated

Reports from Baghdad say at least 36 people were killed today in a series of apparently coordinated blasts in the Iraqi capital.

Health Minister Saleh Mehdi al-Hasnawi said 320 other people were also wounded in the attacks, which appeared to target mainly Shi'ite areas.

He said most of the injured had already left hospitals after treatment.

At least 10 car and roadside bombs were reportedly detonated.

The incident comes after more than 50 people were killed in Baghdad on October 31, as police stormed a church where they were being held hostage.
