Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has raised the possibility of returning to Pakistani politics.

Former Pakistani President and military ruler Pervez Musharraf says he's begun planning to return to Pakistan and may reenter politics there.

In an interview with U.S. CNN television, Musharraf declined to say what office he might seek, saying: "Whether I am running for president or prime minister will be seen later."

Musharraf added that he's unsure about the exact timing of his return to Pakistan.

Musharraf is reported to have mostly lived in London since he resigned as president under pressure in 2008 and left the country.

Musharraf has been visiting the U.S. capital, Washington, this week.
