Afghanistan lost to cricketing giants India and South Africa in its fixtures in Twenty20 World Cup in the Caribbean.

But the meteoric rise of the Afghan side and the fact that it played in the world competition promises a bright cricketing future and a national obsession in a postwar Afghanistan.

Qatar-based international network Al-Jazeera recently aired a documentary on the Afghan cricketers called "Proud To Be An Afghan."
