Serbia Into FIBA Semis After Knockout Of Champion Spain

Serbia's men's basketball players have knocked defending champion Spain out of the FIBA world championships in Turkey.

Milos Teodosic made a three-point shot with three seconds remaining on the clock to lift the Serbians to a 92-89 victory in the quarterfinal match on September 8 in Istanbul.

With the win, Serbia advance to face host Turkey in a semifinal match on September 11 to see who will move on to the final.

Serbia lost to the Spaniards in last year's European championship.

Turkey, meanwhile, beat Slovenia 95-68 to earn the right to face the Serbs.

Today's quarterfinal matches will see the United States against Russia, and Lithuania against Argentina.
