Top 10 Viral Videos Of 2009

Try as they might, traditional media simply can't compete with the online world when it comes to buzz. And the loudest buzz in 2009 was generated by these online videos.

Two of the entries -- "Susan Boyle" and "David After Dentist" -- were far and away the most frequently viewed videos on YouTube in 2009, with well over 100 million and 50 million views globally, respectively, when all versions are included. But this list is a subjective selection from among the 100 or so most popular clips, and does not necessarily contain the "most viewed" videos numerically speaking.

From surprising musical virtuosity to surprised kittens, many of the year's most popular Internet clips highlighted the talents, creativity, and just plain silliness that fascinate and entertain us all.

We're even throwing in a wildcard 11th video, since Susan Boyle's video can't be embedded.
