Ukranian-Russian Crew Members Missing In Black Sea Sinking

Officials say a Mongolian-flagged ship with a Russian and Ukrainian crew has sunk in the Black Sea, leaving three of 12 seamen unaccounted for.

Emergency services continue to search the area.

A spokesman for the Ukrainian emergencies ministry said nine seamen had been saved.

Emergency services were dispatched after the "Vasiliy," carrying a cargo of scrap metal, sent a distress signal in the Kerch strait, which links the Black Sea with the Sea of Azov.

No other details were immediately available.
