As U.S.-Led Coalition Pulls Out, Afghan Air Force Struggles To Keep Up

Taliban militants have been gaining ground in Afghanistan, following the withdrawal of most U.S.-led international coalition forces. Afghan government security forces have tried to fill in the gaps, but they are finding it very hard to match Western military capabilities. One area of combat operations especially hard hit has been air cover and support, where the small, poorly equipped Afghan Air Force is nearing the point of exhaustion. (Reuters)
