At least three people have been killed in southern Afghanistan after two suicide bombers stormed a government compound during a meeting of tribal elders.
Officials in the town of Spin Boldak in Kandahar Province said the militants killed a compound guard before driving their car onto the compound and detonating an explosive from inside the vehicle.
A spokesman for Provincial Governor Javeed Saisal said three people were killed and 15 wounded in the attack.
Kandahar, which lies near the Pakistani border, is a major corridor for Taliban militants and drugs and weapons smugglers.
